Nesting Tables!

The Holidays are almost upon us and with the Holidays come great food! Everyone knows the feeling, the whole family is there, the house is packed!  You are about to enjoy a love-filled plate full of the Holiday’s best recipes.  You scour the room looking for a place to sit or even perch and then you spot it, the middle seat of the sofa.  You gladly take it and then immediately realize, you have nowhere to put your drink.  So down to the floor it goes.  What could have been a great nibble, is now filled with paranoid thoughts of your red wine spilling onto such a pretty rug.  Well, we know the solution: nesting tables!!!  Everyone has a spot for one and, come Holiday time, you’ll wish you had a set.  Simple, easy and mobile, the following are some of our favorites and we’ll tell you why!

Typical shape, but not the typical four legs.  These wooden topped rectangle tables only have legs on one side, which allows them to scoot right up to you, wrap under the sofa or over the arm of a chair.

Loving the triangle tables!  We can see these filling in the cracks and crevices of the surrounding crowd nicely!

Guest Rooms!

We are quickly approaching that time of the year where our guest rooms see a lot of action!  Family holidays and gatherings are often so jammed packed with details that sometimes the guest room itself gets overlooked.  There is nothing more enjoyable than a nice hotel experience.  Why not give your guest this experience? Below are items available through BHD to keep your guests comfortable and feeling like royalty!

Each guest shows up with some kind of luggage.  Hotels always have the nifty luggage rack.  We found one that functions just the same, but is sharp looking!  This leather top with metal base can be folded up and put away when not in use.

Sometimes its just best to use a bench.  They are generally small and can be used at the end of the bed for both luggage and a place to sit.  We love the simple structural details of the following benches. They'll fit any quest perfectly!

Bedding is crucial for a good night’s rest.  So why not give them the hotel feel?  Trimmed duvets always look sharp and can be removed to be cleaned.  Don’t forget to provide an extra throw incase one gets chilly!

Providing a bedside decanter filled with water gives your guest  convenience and puts your mind to ease that they won’t go thirsty during the night!

After a long day of travel, finding a chilled bottle could be just the thing to help your guest relax!  Below are some of our favorite chillers.  Super sharp looking!

Providing bathroom amenities such as q-tips and cotton balls for your guests is a must.  Why not make these utilitarian items look great in decorative containers wrangled into a gorgeous tray!

Picture6

And last but not least, provide your guest with the chance to write notes or send letters back home.  Keep things organized by storing them in glass boxes or unique horn cups for easy access.  With items this pretty, these things won't go unnoticed!

Back In The Groove – Record Storage

Vinyl record sales are the highest they have been in the last 15 years.  Today we are exploring new ways to store these nostalgic music makers.  Join us as we get ourselves “back in the groove” with record storage!

Atocha is a New York based company and we are in love with their American made, sustainable wood storage! This cabinet features six drawers for LPs and four drawers for CDs.

We love the angled lines of Etic Design’s media cabinet.  Takes the typical wooden box and gives it a new sculptural aesthetic.

This sculptured media cabinet would look perfect with a collection of LPs stacked in it!

Mixing of materials is always  a good idea when it comes to media storage.  The metal legs makes it durable while giving the piece light weight feel and a rock star appearance!  Brass is back baby….antique brass, that is!

And for those who love whimsy with their storage.  This ikat painted console would be perfect for storing music and media!

Modular storage is becoming more and more popular.  This stackable storage would be perfect for a small space!
