Nesting Tables!

The Holidays are almost upon us and with the Holidays come great food! Everyone knows the feeling, the whole family is there, the house is packed!  You are about to enjoy a love-filled plate full of the Holiday’s best recipes.  You scour the room looking for a place to sit or even perch and then you spot it, the middle seat of the sofa.  You gladly take it and then immediately realize, you have nowhere to put your drink.  So down to the floor it goes.  What could have been a great nibble, is now filled with paranoid thoughts of your red wine spilling onto such a pretty rug.  Well, we know the solution: nesting tables!!!  Everyone has a spot for one and, come Holiday time, you’ll wish you had a set.  Simple, easy and mobile, the following are some of our favorites and we’ll tell you why!

Typical shape, but not the typical four legs.  These wooden topped rectangle tables only have legs on one side, which allows them to scoot right up to you, wrap under the sofa or over the arm of a chair.

Loving the triangle tables!  We can see these filling in the cracks and crevices of the surrounding crowd nicely!

These organic shaped horn nesting tables makes you feel like you are setting your cocktail down on a piece of art!

These super sharp nesting tables fold up!  This means when not in use, storage is a snap!

Loving the idea of having a nesting cocktail table.  Not only do these cubes fit perfectly underneath when not in use.  They look fabulous while doing it!

For the cocktail nesting option to have flexibility in shape, this pair is available in rectangle, square and round!

Picture6Another way to look at flexible surfacing are puzzle tables.  Breaking this cocktail table apart for a party will be so much fun!!

The configurations and locations of this set are endless!

Does your next holiday event need more drink tables?  Interested in any of these?  Give us a ring, all of these are available through BHD!

Front Door Ready!

Is your entrance warm and inviting, are you front door ready?

It is that time of year when you will be welcoming guests for the holidays as well as mini ghosts and goblins looking for candy.

There are many options for sprucing up your front door. Whether you are going for the most spook-tastic door on the block…

Or just want to add a bit of color to your life…

or maybe meet somewhere in the middle…

Here are some colorful ideas. For an easy addition,  pick your favorite accent color and paint your front door. This is such an easy change, don't be afraid to go bold!

Planters with seasonal flowers are an easy change up throughout the year as well. These mums are perfect for fall and come in such a variety of colors.

Planters add just a splash of style that you can change out regularly.

Lighting is always key to an inviting space. The front porch is no different. Lantern lighting works with most homes. Here are a few I found on Pinterest that are simple and beautiful.

A door mat is practical because it keeps your house clean, it also adds texture, and is an easy pop of color.

'Tis the season to prepare your home for guests. This is not limited to your interior. You want your home to feel inviting from the moment someone walks up to your front door.

What sprucing up will you do this month?

Dance- Back in the Groove!

Dance rooms are a place to cut loose, let out energy, gather with your friends, practice, and just dance. I was a dancer for sixteen years of my life and a special spot to dance in my house would have been heaven. I can imagine all the fun. Do you have an extra room in your house that just holds clutter or items that you aren’t using? If so consider making it into a place where you can dance, let loose and get back in the groove.

In my dream dance room, I would want an awesome accent wall, lots of mirrors, seating for friends, and of course a disco ball. Here's my shiny dream dance room!!

This wallcovering is fascinating  and gorgeous. It's elegant for a ballerina but at the same time fun enough to make you want to groove to the music.

Everyone watches themselves dance in the mirror every once in a while and why not do it in style with this antiqued mirror screen.

This chandelier balances finesse and texture in an otherwise shiny room.

When selecting flooring, one has to think about all the activities that happen in a dance room. Vinyl flooring for a dance room is ideal. Yes, vinyl flooring! This vinyl plank is made with a high recyclable content. It also has great slip resistance, you can dance the night away without a worry in the world.

This chair, from Stray Dog Designs, is so much fun! It is the perfect touch of quirkiness.

I think, the stand out piece in a dance room should be the chandelier. If my choice of chandelier didn’t fit your style maybe one of these will.

Put a little dazzle in your dance room- add shine and spunk!

Here are other dance rooms. If you don't find inspiration from my mock dance room maybe these will inspire you!

This long fringe would allow for lots of personality and could also be fun to dance with.

A long rectangle room is the perfect shape dance room! Color blockingwith fabric panels on the walls adds splashes of color and also helps with noise from the loud music!

Using a large pattern flooring material is a fun way to put some charisma into your dance room!

Adding a bar and some mirrors is a fantastic way to achieve a dance spot if there isn't an extra room for dancing!

Doesn't the vibe of this dance studio feel so zen! Connecting the outdoors with the indoors can be so liberating. I can imagine lots of Yoga or Pilates happening here.

I hope these dance rooms inspire you to get back in the groove. Especially the dance groove!
