Fall Tailgating

posted by Maggie

This weekend was perfect for tailgating. No, not just for football, but rather the Tailgate Antique Show! In its last representation at the State Fairgrounds (the show will be moving to Hendersonville, TN, in February) the show definitely did not disappoint. Below are photos of some fun finds from the excursion.

This set of glass apothecary jars would look great as a collection on a bath vanity.

There were two of these bright orange wash stands. Imagine them repurposed as end tables or night stands.

There was several vintage Foo Dogs to be found (and one Foo Cat!)

The yellow bench was salvaged from an abandoned elementary school in Michigan. It has such great character and details and would look great in an entry way.

We found ourselves wondering who the people are in these old silhouettes. They would make a great addition to any art wall.

There were several mirrored sconces similar to the one pictured here. This particular one reminded me of a Jan Barboglio piece featured in this editorial from House Beautiful.

How great would these vintage lockers look as storage in a child’s room? Also, note the lighting – the bases are constructed from old, deconstructed air conditioning units!

One of my friends walked away with this reclaimed wood table for her living room.

We were all blown away by this fantastic piece of tramp art. Small pieces of wood lock together to create each starburst.  Typically, you will see tramp art boxes, so this giant wall frame was quite the interesting find!
