Too often a great laundry room is overlooked in a home. I was excited to get to design this space for our Faux Sho-House! Having 2 kids, 1 dog, 2 cats, and a husband, laundry is a never ending battle. For our family, the ideal laundry room would have plenty of storage, a work space, and would be multi-functional. I would love a space that not only served the purpose of washing and folding clothes, but hanging them up as well. This could be to dry or a place to put the hangers and dry- clothes on hangers until they go to their respective rooms. I would also love to use this space to  wrap and store wrapping supplies, store swimming gear and toys (we do not have a garage…in typical Nashville style our garage is a recording studio) and store other household goods that don’t always have a home!

I wanted this space to be easily cleaned with a fresh, modern feel. In each of the tall built-in cabinets there is a pull-out hamper for each member of my family. There are multiple pull-out drawers, plenty of shelving and hanging rods.

The ease of these Forest chairs and Onda table makes me happy. They are light weight, easy to clean, and portable.

This simple chandelier adds just the right pop of color to brighten your day and is available through BHD.

With so much laundry to do I needed something that works fast to fit into our busy schedules. This washer and dryer from Electrolux seemed to be the perfect fit!

My whole family can go on and get dirty with this set up, grass stains, wine stains, and all.  A Laundry Room as an (almost) meditative space.  Hope to see you in the next room of our Faux- Sho House!
