At Beth Haley Design, we adore all things color. From warm neutrals to nature-inspired shades, take a look at the color trends expected to dominate in 2023.
Trend #1: Orangey Reds
Benjamin Moore announced its 2023 color of the year as “Raspberry Blush.” This vivacious orangey-red hue is reminiscent of a fiery sunset. After seeing cooler colors take center stage for the past few years, we’re really starting to see a shift toward bold, warmer colors.
Trend #2: Nature-Inspired Tones
We can expect to see soft, earthy shades of pink, terra cotta, and clay take the lead as the most popular paint colors for 2023. These specific shades can work as a grounding neutral and a delicate accent. They also look great when contrasted with the wood tones we have seen returning to cabinetry and furniture.
Trend #3: Warm Neutrals
Behr’s announcement of their 2023 color of the year, “Blank Canvas,” proves that warm neutral colors will continue to rule the interior design scene. The warm white has creamy yellow undertones and can lean into both a minimal palette as well as be paired with bright, bold colors for a more vibrant look.
Trend #4: Pastels
Word around town is that Pantone’s color of the year will be “Digital Lavender,” a light pastel purple, which we have seen all over the runway. Designers say the pastel trend will make its way to home decor as well. Light pinks, mint green, and lavender shades are predicted to be popular colors for walls, furniture, throw pillows, and more.
