The textured wood fireplace wall in the primary bedroom, as well as the textured wood pool house seen above, were accomplished by using an ancient Japanese technique for preserving wood called Shou Sugi Ban. “Learning about this technique was invigorating,” says Beth.
The home’s powder room evokes feelings of peace and elegance with its soothing floral wallpaper, floral-inspired light fixtures, and a simple yet intricate mirror. Delicate artwork and ceramics complete the look.
Shoji screens were installed in the primary bedroom and a muted color palette was implemented, with bold accents used sparingly. Everything comes together for an overall feeling of harmony and tranquility.
The primary bathroom boasts plenty of countertop space, as well as an abundance of light. Neutral hues, simple furnishings, natural materials, and crisp, clean lines create a pleasant ambiance.
