Valentine’s month gives the warmth of pinks and reds popping out of windows!
Passion, love, drama, and strength: red pulls these emotions from us. When we think about designing with these colors we have to remember the huge impact they can have in a space. It is easy for these colors to dominate a room and distract from the details. Like most things in life, these colors are beautiful in moderation. I love these pops of red for a room!
Pink: This color represents compassion, nurturing, and love. Again, I believe it is best used in the accents or details of a space. Look how fun and bright this white sofa becomes with a pop of color.
I love the combination of pink and orange like the pillows above. Here is a recent set of dining chairs we refurbished for a client. How fun are they!
For a quick transformation of your space try some simple pillows on any sofa, bed or chair.
These table accessories are so cheerful they are sure to brighten any February day!
It may be a bit cold to be thinking about our outdoor spaces today, but I just love this red bench nestled amongstĀ the luscious greenery!
Another way to make a bold statement without overpowering a room is to paint the wall behind open shelving a contrasting color. Check out this lovely pink wall!
Color can be overwhelming to a lot of people, it scares them. Don’t shy away from a color you love. It might just be the way to invigorate life back in to an otherwise dull space.
