For our nature loving clients, the design goal was to integrate all the function and amenities of a modern home into their quintessential 1928 American Foursquare home.  This objective was accomplished by honoring the existing hand-crafted wood detailing throughout the home and thoughtfully replicating those details into the newly added kitchen and sunroom. To further enhance the home’s cohesive design, we sourced custom tile for both the fireplace and kitchen backsplash from a manufacturer specializing in craftsman-style pieces. A tree motif in earthy green tones was chosen to complement the natural color palette woven throughout the home. Finishing touches included era-appropriate light fixtures and soft paint colors that highlight the rich, dark trim. These details carefully curated throughout the home now beautifully showcase both its craftsman influences and the clients’ deep love of nature.
