Color is a transformative tool that impacts our homes and, ultimately, our mood and emotions. A coat of paint in a bright, unexpected hue enlivens a room and brings a smile to our faces. Each room in this colorful home features a pop of color, ranging from shades of pink to electric blue and lime green. The design is a case study in how to use bold, bright colors that deliver a sophisticated yet playful approach. The opposite of muted, neutral tones, these colors make each room eye-catching and leave visitors wanting more color in their own homes. The homeowners opted for a white kitchen and living spaces, while the bathrooms and smaller areas in the home feature colorful finishes. It is all about balance, right?

Scroll through five brilliant rooms in this colorful home, and we dare you not to smile.

The Light Pink Bathroom

All it takes is a touch of pink to change up the bathroom design. A painted vanity paired with pink towels and fresh flowers is a simple way to transform this space into something pretty.

The Blue Bathroom

In addition to a coat of paint on the vanity, this bathroom features a tile insert that rounds out the blue-focused design. Again, towels in the same shade are paired with the paint color to create a consistent color palette.

The Purple Bathroom

This time, the walls received a coat of purple paint. Purple, grey and black work together to create a relaxing atmosphere that also feels luxurious.

The Hot Pink Laundry Room

One House, Five Beautiful Rooms | Beth Haley Design

It isn’t easy to incorporate shades of pink into your interiors, but the laundry room is a great place to experiment with color. Beth Haley Design pushed the boundaries in the laundry room and workspace by painting the cabinetry a glossy hot pink.

The Green BathroomOne House, Five Colorful Rooms | Beth Haley Design

Instead of using paint to brighten up this bathroom, Beth Haley Design chose a green tile backsplash that wraps around the shower. The tile is the eye-catching element in the design, and fresh flowers in a green vase bring the color onto the vanity.

Don’t be afraid to add color to your home. If you are intimidated by bright hues, start small. Bathrooms and laundry rooms are smart places to test out new color palettes and step outside your comfort zone.
