Laundry is a chore no one loves, but having a lovely space to toss, wash and fold your clothes makes it a bit more bearable. While doing laundry isn’t very exciting, the room you do it in should be just as eye-catching as any other space in your home. Sometimes it’s as simple as adding a vibrant shade of paint to your cabinets, incorporating open shelving, or maybe even using a fun wallpaper, artwork or dynamic backsplash.

We are showcasing some of our favorite laundry room designs from recent projects to help you get inspired and add a little excitement to an otherwise monotonous chore. Take a look!

Go Green

Finding a more elegant laundry room than the one in this Oak Hill new build will be hard. The space features quartz countertops for miles and gorgeous green cabinets that symbolize vitality and energy. Open shelving was implemented to display items like the client’s pottery collection and other decorative elements, all adding a touch of style. We didn’t forget to add closed cabinetry to neatly tuck away all those cleaning supplies.  The room’s natural light is ideal for hand-washing and spotting small stains, too.

Hot Pink Paint

Talk about pizazz! Nothing says “vitality” quite like a rich shade of pink. If your laundry room is suffering from a case of the blahs, consider going crazy with color. Step outside the box and bring some life into your laundry room with bold, pink cabinets! This laundry room concept is the perfect example of how much energy bright colors can infuse into a space. This laundry room’s tile floors are also easy to clean, which will definitely make life easier.

Wow With Wallpaper

Most homes won’t have a ton of space for a dedicated laundry room, but even in small spaces like this one, storage should be a priority. This laundry area has drawers and cabinets to give you a place to hide your cleaning products, lint rollers, laundry detergent, and other odds and ends. In addition, we packed in a long countertop for folding.  Topping it off is a bold wallpaper, unique artwork and fresh white blossoms.   It all adds up to a bit of fun freshness.

Tile Time

It would help pass the time if you had something to look at while waiting for your clothes to dry, so fill those white walls with something fun. Statement-making tile and cheerful yellow cabinetry are easy ways to entertain the eye in this laundry room. Additionally, a small television provides entertainment for a long day of chores. Another option would be to hang your favorite piece of art!

Every room in your home should showcase your personality — even the laundry room.

As you can see, at Beth Haley Design, we believe laundry rooms go far beyond functionality. We hope these decorating ideas show you that laundry rooms deserve love, no matter their size. Besides, laundry day is rough enough — you may as well do all that washing and drying in a space you enjoy.
